Privacy Policy
What information Batooz LLC collects when you shop with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We never sell your personal information.
Last updated: 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Batooz LLC ("Batooz," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit batooz.com (the "Site"), place an order, contact us, or shop at our retail store at 830 Meredith Way, Sparks, NV 89431.
We are a US retailer serving customers in the United States only. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. The short version: we collect what we need to process and deliver your order, we protect it, and we never sell your personal information.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
- Order information: your name, shipping and billing addresses, phone number, email address, the products you purchase, and order history.
- Account information: if you create an account on the Site, your login credentials (passwords are stored only in encrypted/hashed form) and saved addresses or preferences.
- Contact and support communications: information you submit through contact forms, emails, phone calls, and warranty or return requests — including photos you send us for damage or warranty claims.
- In-store pickup information: name, order confirmation details, and photo-ID verification at the time of pickup.
- Marketing sign-ups: your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter (always optional).
2.2 Payment information
Payments on the Site are processed by Stripe, Inc.. When you check out, your card number and payment details are entered into Stripe's secure payment fields and transmitted directly to Stripe. Batooz LLC never sees, stores, or has access to your full card number. We receive only the information needed to confirm and fulfill your payment (such as the card brand, last four digits, and transaction status). Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
2.3 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time on page, referring URLs, and similar analytics data collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).
- Log data: standard server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Fulfill orders: process payment, pick and ship your items, schedule freight deliveries, arrange in-store pickup, and send order confirmations and tracking updates.
- Provide customer support: respond to questions, process returns and refunds, and help with manufacturer warranty claims.
- Prevent fraud and abuse: verify transactions, detect suspicious activity, and protect the security of the Site and our customers. Stripe also performs its own fraud screening on payments.
- Operate and improve the Site: analyze how customers use the Site so we can fix problems and improve navigation, content, and product selection.
- Marketing — only with your consent: send promotional emails and seasonal offers if you have subscribed. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects your ability to shop with us. We still send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping notices, return updates) because those are part of the service you purchased.
- Comply with law: meet tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. The main types are:
- Essential cookies: required for the Site to work — keeping items in your cart, remembering your session at checkout, and load balancing. The Site will not function without these.
- Preference cookies: remember choices you make, such as staying signed in to your account.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns (for example, which pages are visited most) so we can improve the store.
How to control cookies: most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from adding items to the cart or checking out. You can also use browser privacy modes and third-party opt-out tools for analytics cookies. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, but you can limit tracking as described above.
5. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only as needed to run the store and serve you:
- Payment processing: Stripe, Inc. processes your payment securely at checkout.
- Shipping and freight carriers: we share your name, delivery address, and phone number with carriers (parcel and freight) so they can deliver your order and, for freight, call you to schedule the delivery appointment.
- Manufacturers and service centers: if you ask us to help with a warranty claim, we share the information needed to register the product or process the claim with the relevant manufacturer (Craftsman, Honda Power Equipment, Cub Cadet, DR Power, or Troy-Bilt) or its service network.
- Analytics and service providers: vendors that host the Site, provide analytics, or operate our email platform, each bound to use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Legal compliance and protection: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Batooz LLC, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers: if Batooz LLC is involved in a merger, sale, or transfer of assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information — not to data brokers, advertisers, or anyone else — and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy:
- Order and transaction records are retained as required for tax, accounting, and warranty purposes (generally up to 7 years).
- Account information is kept while your account is active; you may request deletion at any time (Section 8).
- Support and claim correspondence is kept as long as needed to resolve your issue and maintain a service history.
- Marketing consent records are kept until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data is retained in aggregate or de-identified form.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
7. Data Security
We protect your information with reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including SSL/TLS encryption on every page of the Site (look for the padlock in your browser), encrypted payment processing through Stripe, access controls limiting who on our team can see customer data, and reputable hosting with monitoring and backups. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities as required by law if a breach affecting your data occurs.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Regardless of where you live in the US, you may contact us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law (for example, completed transaction records);
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
Send requests to support@batooz.com or call +1 775-213-6804. We may need to verify your identity (for example, by confirming the email address or order details on file) before completing a request. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you specific rights:
- Right to know: you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the business purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to delete: you may request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (such as completing transactions and keeping records required by law).
- Right to correct: you may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of — but you may contact us any time to confirm.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will never deny you service, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.
To exercise these rights, email support@batooz.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request" or call +1 775-213-6804. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days as the law requires. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults purchasing outdoor power equipment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and children under 13 may not use the Site or make purchases. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. Parents who believe their child has provided us information should contact support@batooz.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" line at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the Site before they take effect. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
